Milk Book

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 19 October 2026.

Who we are

This policy covers the Milk Book Android apps provided to milk vendors and dairies, the Milk Book super admin portal and this website (together, "Milk Book"). Milk Book is run by Nitesh Setti. It is bookkeeping software: milk vendors ("Vendors") use it to keep records of the milk they deliver to their own customers and the money those customers pay. Each Vendor decides what to record about its customers and is responsible for that data. Milk Book processes that data on the Vendor's behalf to provide the service.

Data we collect

  • Vendor accounts: owner name, mobile number (used to sign in with a one-time password), business or shop name, area, email, logo and brand colour.
  • Customer (katha) records entered by the Vendor: customer name and contact details such as mobile number or email, milk sizes, rates and units, and route order.
  • Daily records: morning and evening milk quantities, extras such as cow milk, ghee or kova, and the month they belong to.
  • Amounts and payments: monthly amounts, payments received, dates, pending balances and amounts carried forward.
  • RFID cards: if the RFID slip add-on is used, the card ID linked to each katha.
  • Subscription details: the plan and add-ons enabled for each Vendor.

How we use data

To let Vendors record milk, amounts and payments and see what is pending; to make bills, slips and PDFs; to send messages the Vendor chooses to send to its customers through the WhatsApp, SMS or Email add-ons; to verify sign-ins and keep accounts secure; and to provide support.

What we don't do

We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not show ads. Customer data is used only to run the Vendor's books.

Sharing

Each Vendor's data is kept separate and is visible only to that Vendor and to Milk Book administrators who need it to provide support. We use service providers for hosting, sign-in and message delivery, and they process data only on our instructions. We disclose data if required by law.

Security

Data is sent over encrypted connections. Access is limited to the Vendor's own account, and each Vendor's records are kept apart from every other Vendor's.

Retention and deletion

We keep data while the Vendor's account is active. A Vendor may need to keep payment records for its own accounting. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time; see Delete your account. We act on verified requests within 30 days.

Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may access, correct or delete your personal data, withdraw consent or raise a grievance, subject to law. Customers of a Vendor can also contact that Vendor directly. Contact / Grievance Officer: Nitesh Setti, niteshsetti1528@gmail.com.

Children

Milk Book is meant for adults running a business and is not directed to children.
